What is the da Vinci robot? Da Vinci is a super robot, the most advanced surgical robot in the world. It has a precise, flexible and free surgical arm with smaller joints that can rotate 360 degrees, twice the rotation of a normal human hand, and can perform precise movements that cannot be done with a human hand. It is highly intelligent, eliminates operator tremors, is precise and reduces injuries. With robots, is there still a need for doctors to do surgery? A robot is fine machinery, and although it accomplishes precise movements that are impossible for a human to perform, it still requires an experienced surgeon to operate it and complete the surgery through human-machine integration. The surgeon sits at the console and controls an octopus-like surgical robot with both hands like a game controller, completing the surgery without touching the patient. Is the surgery safe? Cut, stop the bleeding, completely peel the lesion, and suture it closed. This is the same as traditional surgery, but it pushes the limits of minimally invasive surgery by making a few very small incisions in the chosen surgical site, following the surgeon’s instructions exactly, moving quickly and accurately, and working tirelessly, so it also pushes the limits of human power. Can robots do a good job in weight loss and metabolic surgery? For obese patients, traditional open surgery and general laparoscopic surgery have disadvantages such as long surgical incisions, large trauma, inadequate exposure of the surgical field and difficulty in suturing. The da Vinci robotic surgery platform breaks through the limits of human eyes and hands to enlarge the surgical field. The lead surgeon can use the robot to rotate 360° suture, tie knots and stop bleeding in a 3D view, which can be done with ease in the narrow space originally inaccessible to hands and eyes, and with high stability and accuracy, the da Vinci surgical robot will only complete the surgery better!
