Causes of intestinal obstruction in pancreatitis

Acute pancreatitis is a group of clinical disorders that occur when the secretion and discharge of pancreatic juice is blocked for various reasons, leading to self-digestion. The pancreatic gland releases a large amount of inflammatory mediators into the blood after self-digestion, which can lead to interstitial edema of the intestinal canal and cause a weakening of intestinal peristalsis, also known clinically as paralytic intestinal obstruction. For paralytic intestinal obstruction caused by pancreatitis, the clinical treatment options are fasting, gastrointestinal decompression, acid control, enzyme suppression, fluid replacement and anti-infection and other symptomatic treatments.
