Does Chenpi have the efficacy and effect of curing gout?

Chenpi has no efficacy and effect in treating gout. Pericarp is mainly used to regulate qi and strengthen the spleen, dry dampness and resolve phlegm (dispel dampness by drying dampness and dissolve phlegm), and is used for distention and fullness in the epigastrium (gastric and abdominal areas), poor appetite and vomiting, coughing with profuse phlegm, and so on.
1. Qi stagnation: Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae has the efficacy of moving qi, and is used for the distension and fullness in the epigastrium and abdomen caused by stagnation of qi and qi reversal, and vomiting and nausea, and can be combined with Qi regulating medicines such as Hovenia Citri Reticulatae and Mucuna Pruriens.
2. Phlegm and cough: Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae can dry dampness and dissolve phlegm, regulate the lungs and relieve cough, used for coughing and wheezing caused by the loss of lung declination and phlegm-dampness, can be combined with Semixia, Poria and other drying dampness and phlegm drugs.
