Why leukemia?

The cause of leukemia is not yet clear, and is currently thought to be related to infectious factors, radiation factors, chemical factors, genetic factors, and other blood diseases.
1. Infectious factors: many kinds of viruses can lead to leukemia, such as human T-cellophilic virus type I, and so on.
2. Radiation factors: Ionizing radiation such as X and γ rays can lead to leukemia.
3. Chemical factors: the incidence of leukemia in benzene-exposed people is higher than that of normal people. Anti-tumor drug alkylating agents, such as cyclophosphamide and melphalan, increase the risk of leukemia.
4. Genetic factors: the prevalence of leukemia in first-degree relatives of leukemia patients is higher than in the general population.
5. Certain blood diseases can eventually develop into leukemia, such as lymphoma and myelodysplastic syndrome.
The cause of leukemia is not yet clear, but when leukemia is diagnosed, timely consultation and standardized treatment should be carried out to reduce the adverse consequences.
