The formation of strong grip reflex is greatly related to the lesion in the premotor area of the frontal lobe. The growth rate and the direction of development of the tumor are different, such as mutism and vegetative disorder with bilateral anterior invasion of the cingulate gyrus, and positive strong grip reflex with invasion of the lesion on the contralateral side of the premotor area. If a moving object (such as a hammer handle) or a finger touches the palm of the patient’s hand during the examination, it will cause a continuous grip in the hand, which means the strong grip reflex is positive. This reflex disappears after two years of age. Or the persistence of this reflex is a symptom of damage to the cone bundle.
