Being easily frightened may be caused by physiological reasons, or it may be caused by pathological reasons such as neurasthenia and anxiety. 1. Physiological reasons Under normal circumstances, the body has a certain limit of defense, if more than the limit may be frightened. It is a normal physiological phenomenon, such as no subsequent palpitations (rapid heartbeat, often accompanied by panic) and other symptoms generally do not require special treatment. 2. Pathological causes (1) Neurasthenia: It is a kind of neurological disorder that mainly focuses on the weakening of brain and body functions, which may be caused by negative life events, work or study stress, and so on. Patients may show symptoms such as easy mental excitement and easy brain fatigue, and may also appear to be easily startled. (2) Anxiety Disorder: A mental disorder in which anxiety is the main manifestation in the absence of organic brain diseases or other neurological diseases. It is mainly caused by genetic, psychological and neurobiological factors. Patients may have tense nerves, making themselves too depressed, worried and fearful, and thus may be easily frightened. It is recommended that patients who are easily frightened go to the hospital in time, do the relevant examination to clarify the cause of the disease, and then follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment to avoid delaying the condition.
