A bad liver may lead to a bigger stomach, and common diseases include fatty liver, cirrhosis and ascites, liver cancer and so on.
1. Fatty liver: Fatty liver belongs to excessive accumulation of fat or abnormal fat metabolism. Fatty liver is the intrinsic manifestation of the disease, while obesity and big belly are the extrinsic manifestations. The disease is related to dietary habits, immunity and other factors, which will result in enlarged liver and may also lead to an enlarged abdomen.
2. Cirrhosis: This disease is related to hepatitis B virus infection, fatty liver, alcoholic liver disease and other factors, and the decompensated stage will lead to portal hypertension, obstruction of blood return to the abdominal veins, blood stagnation, and accumulation of fluid in the abdominal cavity, which will lead to belly enlargement.
3. Hepatocellular carcinoma: this disease may be related to cirrhosis, aflatoxin and other factors. Cancer will lead to impaired liver function, reduced albumin synthesis, decreased plasma colloid osmolality, and plasma extravasation to form ascites; the metastasis of cancer cells to the peritoneum will also lead to peritoneal leakage of fluid, bloody ascites, leading to the symptom of a large stomach.
Bad liver should be consulted in time, and relevant treatment should be carried out after identifying the cause of the disease.
