Is inguinal cryptorchidism serious?

Cryptorchidism of inguinal type is the most common type of cryptorchidism, and it is not a serious condition but a common condition. If the cryptorchidism is located in the retroperitoneum or in the abdominal cavity, it is relatively serious because it is located in the retroperitoneum or in the abdominal cavity, and the spermatic cord is relatively short, so it is difficult to descend into the scrotum. However, in the case of inguinal cryptorchidism, the testicle does not descend into the scrotum due to mechanical obstruction, so the length of the spermatic cord is longer and there is no tension in the spermatic cord, so it can be easily removed into the scrotum to achieve a complete cure. Most of the cases of cryptorchidism belong to inguinal type of cryptorchidism, and the testicular tissue can be touched by hand in the groin. However, for patients who are too obese, the testicle may not be palpable. In this case, ultrasound examination can be performed to locate the testicle so that the testicle can be located quickly during surgery and lowered into the scrotum as soon as possible. Therefore, inguinal cryptorchidism is a relatively common type and not a serious condition.
