Wash away not only the lead The outermost layer of the skin is the dense stratum corneum, which contains very little water, usually 15-20%, which is a protective layer of the skin. In the stratum corneum there is a natural moisturizing factor (NMF), which plays an important role in retaining moisture. On the surface of the skin there is also a layer of sebum and sweat formed by the sebum film, which can prevent the loss of natural moisturizing factors, and the evaporation of water plays a proper control role, so that the stratum corneum to maintain a certain water content. Using normal soap to cleanse the skin can damage the sebum film and cause the loss of natural moisturizing factors and water in the stratum corneum. Currently, there is no care product that can completely replace this natural protective component of the skin. In cases where the skin is unable to successfully repair the sebaceous membrane component, the skin is more prone to itching, cracking, and even allergies or triggering other skin problems due to dryness. Proper cleansing should avoid causing damage to the skin’s natural protective film, while at the same time serving the purpose of thoroughly removing metabolic waste, dirt and foreign substances from the skin’s surface.  It is very important to choose the cleaning products for bathing. Some detergents are more alkaline, which can damage the skin more and destroy the normal barrier function of the skin. Because when the skin is particularly dry, it tends to scratch and can stimulate dermatitis or allergy conditions. There are more and more non-soap detergents on the market, especially products for people with extremely sensitive or damaged skin, which are mild and do not strip the skin of its protective lipid layer, but at the same time have sufficient cleansing power. Some people like to pursue the feeling of taut skin after washing, but in fact a smoother and more moisturized feeling is normal.  The number of baths and face washes is not an absolute limit, but varies according to personal habits and skin conditions. The principle is that the number of baths should not be too frequent, nor should you use cleansing products every time. The number of times to wash your face per day differs for various skin types. The number of times to wash your face with facial cleanser can be once a day for dry skin, once or twice for combination skin, and not more than three times for oily skin. For oily skin, excessive face washing, oil removal and exfoliation may cause skin damage and more easily stimulate continued oil secretion. It is recommended to use lukewarm water and mild products with strong oil removal ability, and to pay attention to using moisturizing products to maintain the water-oil balance also has the effect of slowing down the oil production. For dry skin it is recommended to use soft cool water or room temperature water to wash your face to avoid excessive degreasing and to use a cleanser with high lipid content. In case of combination skin sensitive skin, avoid excessive cleansing and hot and cold stimulation, and do not rub your face with a towel.  People with dry skin, every time after washing and bathing, in the absence of skin not completely dry, with some moisturizer, it is best to use the whole body, washing itself will not take away the moisture of the skin, but after washing the residual moisture in the face will evaporate, if not timely hydration factor, it will take away the moisture inside the skin.
