What causes redness after dialysis

Redness after dialysis may be caused by dialysis imbalance syndrome, allergy and other reasons.
1. Dialysis imbalance syndrome: dialysis rapidly removes solutes, resulting in rapid decrease of patients’ blood solute concentration, decrease of plasma osmolality, increase of osmolality difference between blood and brain tissue fluid, transfer of water to brain tissues, thus causing increase of intracranial pressure. Patients may experience discomfort such as increased blood pressure, flushing, headache and other symptoms.
2. Allergy: If the patient is allergic to dialysis fluid, dialysis machine and other dialysis instruments and articles, it can lead to fever, vasodilatation and blushing.
Redness after dialysis may also be caused by other reasons, and the patient should inform the medical personnel in time and handle the situation under the guidance of professional doctors.
