Pivoxyl bromide has no anticholinergic effects and no side effects on the cardiovascular system. It is used clinically for symptomatic treatment of intestinal dysfunction, symptomatic treatment of pain associated with biliary dysfunction, and barium enema preparation. Its specific usage and dosage is: adults 3-4 tablets per day, if necessary can be increased to 6 tablets per day; for barium enema preparation, the drug should be started 3 days before the examination, the dose is 4 tablets per day.
