Complications of viral meningitis

Complications of viral meningitis are diverse and mainly focus on the following: 1. Viral meningitis is an inflammatory response that may cause hemiplegia if it invades the motor function nuclei; 2. Affecting the frontal lobe of the brain parenchyma can cause epilepsy and some patients can also cause mood disorders; 3. Affecting the thalamus can cause problems with the thermoregulatory center and hyperthermia; 4. Affecting the auditory and visual centers can cause hearing and visual impairment; 5. If infected with BSE after a mosquito bite, some patients can cause mental retardation.
