Can you see tonsil stones?

Some tonsil stones can be seen, and the patient should be able to see them if they open their mouth in a mirror and look closely. However, if the stones are below, behind or in the hidden fossa of the tonsils and are small in size, they will be difficult to see. Patients are advised to go to a regular hospital for examination to clarify the presence of tonsil stones. When checking for tonsil stones, patients can look in the mirror, open their mouth wide, and make a long sound “ah”, carefully observe the tonsils, and if they find white cheese-like material on them, they may have tonsil stones. Tonsil stones can be treated without special treatment if the patient does not experience any discomfort. Once the sore throat, eating difficulties and other symptoms, should be promptly to the regular hospital for consultation and treatment.
