What does a plus sign of 70 white blood cells mean?

Leukocytes 70, a plus sign, refers to an increased number of white blood cells in the urine and often indicates the possible presence of an infection of the urinary tract. This is when the patient may experience frequent, urgent or painful urination, or may have symptoms of incomplete urination or pain in the small abdomen. In this case, a urine culture test should be performed at the hospital to identify the specific pathogenic bacteria of the infection and to guide the clinical management of the infection with medication. When there is a urinary tract pathogen infection, it can cause an increase in the number of white blood cells in the urine, and the white blood cells engulf the relevant pathogenic bacteria to form pus cells, which can be manifested as cloudy urine, or with an abnormal smell of urine. According to the results of the urine culture test, the number of leukocytes in the urine can be restored to normal after the routine selection of quinolone antibiotics or cephalosporin antibiotics to kill the pathogenic group. In general, urine routine examination, less than 10 per high magnification field of view is normal. If the number is greater than 10 and reaches 70, the white blood cell count is increased and it is a condition of infection.
