What is the content of the first level of care

For patients who are hospitalized, graded care is provided. There are generally four levels of graded care, including intensive care, primary care, secondary care and tertiary care, which are mainly classified according to the patient’s condition. For critically ill patients whose condition tends to be more stable, patients who need strict bed rest after surgery or during treatment, and patients who are unable to take care of themselves, primary care is required. Primary care requires hourly touring of patients and close observation of vital signs such as body temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, etc., and detailed records. After surgery, patients should be observed to see if the drains are clear, and the color and nature of the drainage fluid as well as the drainage flow should be recorded. In addition, basic care should be done, such as timely turning, back patting and suctioning of patients to prevent complications such as pneumonic pneumonia and decubitus ulcers. It is necessary to prepare all kinds of resuscitation drugs and instruments, so that once the condition changes, timely resuscitation is needed.
