How to tell if a woman is living with HIV

The methods of determining whether a woman or a man is HIV-positive are the same, including virus isolation and culture, HIV antibody test, HIVp24 antigen test, and viral nucleic acid test.
1. Virus isolation and culture: This test is very accurate, but the operation is complicated and expensive, so it is less commonly used in the clinic.
2. Anti-HIV antibody test: including anti-HIV-1 and HIV-2 antibodies, commonly used in the clinic, in order to improve the accuracy, two tests are required: screening and review.
3. HIVp24 antigen test: this test is prone to false positives, but positive results must be confirmed by the neutralization test, which can be used as an auxiliary diagnostic basis for HIV infection.
4. Viral nucleic acid test: It can be used for early diagnosis of HIV, and can detect viral nucleic acid in the first two weeks after HIV infection.
If HIV infection is suspected, it is recommended to go to the hospital in time.
If you suspect that you are infected with HIV, it is recommended that you seek medical treatment in a timely and positive manner to avoid delaying your condition.
