Duration of erythropoietin use

Usually erythropoietin needs to be injected twice a week, but it also depends on the patient’s specific condition. Erythropoietin has the effect of promoting the differentiation and proliferation of red blood cells, and can be used to treat renal anemia. Normally, erythropoietin can be injected twice a week for patients with anemia, but the specific dosage and usage should be adjusted according to the severity of the patient’s condition. Therefore, the frequency of erythropoietin injections for patients with anemia should be based on the doctor’s advice. Some patients may experience weakness, low-grade fever, headache and other symptoms after erythropoietin injection, and a few patients may experience allergic reactions such as muscle pain and joint pain after injection. A very small percentage of patients may experience anaphylaxis, rash, hives, etc. Patients who are allergic to erythropoietin, human albumin or mammalian cell derivatives, lead poisoning and other patients, pregnant and lactating women are prohibited. The above medication should be used under medical supervision, avoid self-medication.
