Urinary tract stone lithotripsy is usually not done while taking warfarin.
Patients taking warfarin are not suitable for urinary tract stone lithotripsy surgery because warfarin sodium tablets are anticoagulant medications that can affect blood clotting. Therefore, if a patient is taking warfarin for surgery, problems such as blood flow may occur during surgery.
Patients taking warfarin should stop using it before the operation, and the specific time of stopping using it should be determined by considering the patient’s condition and all the examination indexes.
Adverse reactions such as uterine bleeding, blood in the stool and bleeding gums may occur after taking warfarin. Warfarin is contraindicated in patients with hepatic or renal dysfunction, coagulopathy with bleeding tendency, active ulcers, severe hypertension, trauma, preeclampsia, recent surgery and during pregnancy, and should be used with caution in the elderly or during menstruation.
If the patient takes warfarin, the appearance of uncomfortable symptoms, need to immediately stop the drug, to the hospital for treatment. Note that the use of drugs must follow the doctor’s instructions, so as not to delay the condition.
