Symptoms of folliculitis on the face

The symptoms of folliculitis on the face are mainly inflammatory lesions on the face. The lesions are mainly characterized by inflammatory papules of follicular consistency, and some inflammatory papules may be accompanied by pustules. Patients may have a painful reaction to the inflammatory papules, while some patients may only show itching symptoms because the inflammation is not too pronounced. Most folliculitis on the face may be due to infection, such as folliculitis secondary to acne. This folliculitis may be due to a low immune function of the body, secondary to a local infection with a conditionally pathogenic bacteria, such as Staphylococcus aureus or Propionibacterium acnes, which forms an inflammatory manifestation. After the inflammatory symptoms appear, anti-inflammatory and anti-infective treatment is needed, such as topical application of fusidic acid cream or topical application of Longzhu ointment.
