Most adenoidectomies require simultaneous removal of the tonsils, while some patients do not need simultaneous removal of the tonsils when there is no obvious indication for surgery on the tonsils. Adenoids in such as repeated inflammation or inflammation of neighboring tissues stimulate adenoids proliferation, will cause adenoid hypertrophy, causing nasal congestion, tinnitus and so on. If conservative treatment is ineffective, adenoidectomy should be performed as soon as possible. If adenoid hypertrophy is accompanied by tonsillectomy indications, the tonsils should be removed at the same time, and some patients have no obvious indications for tonsil surgery, so they do not need to be removed. Tonsils need to be removed if they have become foci that cause lesions in other organs, or if they are repeatedly inflamed, have multiple complications of peritonsillar abscesses, or if excessive hypertrophy of the tonsils affects respiration, as well as if diphtheria carriers are ineffective after conservative treatment. If adenoidectomy is needed, please go to the regular hospital in time and choose the appropriate treatment plan under the doctor’s guidance. After the operation, please follow the doctor’s instructions for nursing treatment to prevent infection, in order to avoid causing adverse consequences.
