Are biologics safe for treating atopic dermatitis?

Biologics for atopic dermatitis are safe from current evidence-based data. Atopic dermatitis, also known as atopic dermatitis, is a chronic, recurrent, inflammatory skin disease characterized by dry skin, intense itching, and eczema-like rashes. Most of them start in infancy and childhood, and the cause of the disease has not yet been clarified, which affects the daily life and study due to recurrent attacks. Currently, the main biological agent used for atopic dermatitis is duplizumab, which can regulate autoimmunity by targeting and blocking inflammatory factors related to the development of atopic dermatitis, thus improving the symptoms of patients, and is safe with fewer adverse effects from the current evidence-based data. It can be used in conjunction with glucocorticoid creams or calcium-modulated phosphatase inhibitors, such as hydrocortisone and tacrolimus ointment. After the diagnosis of atopic dermatitis is confirmed, patients should follow the doctor’s instructions for standardized treatment, and should not blindly use drugs to avoid adverse effects.
