If a woman has breast pain every time before her period, there are two possibilities. First, because the estrogen and progesterone in women’s bodies reach the highest level before menstruation, the stimulation of high levels of estrogen and progesterone may cause breast fullness and pain, so the time of breast pain is usually short, and the pain will disappear naturally after the menstruation. This is because after menstruation, the level of estrogen and progesterone in the body drops to a minimum, so it is not stimulated by high levels of hormones, so this pain can often be treated without any treatment. It may also be directly related to mood swings before menstruation, as many women may experience breast pain when they are emotionally stressed or anxious. Secondly, consider that there may be organic disease in the breast itself that causes breast swelling and pain before menstruation, the most common being mastopexy or breast nodules.
