Job’s tears are the Chinese herb Coix lacryma, which can treat edema, foot fungus, dysuria (unsmooth urination), and dampness paralysis and constriction.
Job’s tears is a kind of traditional Chinese medicine, is the dried mature seed kernel of the plant Coix lacryma, family Gramineae. Its effects are to promote water seepage and permeability of dampness, strengthen the spleen to stop diarrhea, and remove paralysis, in addition to pus drainage, detoxification and dissipation of the effects of the knot.
Coix seed kernel can be used for the treatment of edema, foot fungus, dysuria, diarrhea (diarrhea caused by a weak spleen), dampness paralysis, lung carbuncle, intestinal carbuncle (carbuncle occurring in the intestines and bowels, manifested by fever, pain in the right abdomen, and palpable lumps), and so on.
Note that pregnant women should use this medicine with caution. If there is a need for medication, it should be used under the guidance of a doctor’s diagnosis, and should not be used blindly on its own to avoid adverse consequences.
