Can rib tumors be seen on CT?

Rib tumor can be seen by CT. Rib tumor is mainly manifested as soft tissue mass and rib bone destruction on CT image. Of course, to confirm whether it is rib tumor or not, we need to do tumor puncture biopsy or remove the tumor directly to see if cancer cells can be found under the microscope. If cancer cells can be found, it can be confirmed as rib tumor, so rib tumor can be detected by CT. Of course, it cannot clarify the specific nature of rib tumor, such as the primary rib tumor or the metastasis of other tumors to the rib bone. Therefore, the diagnosis can be confirmed only after the CT detected rib tumor is punctured and biopsied, or the pathology is clarified after surgery.
