The common clinical forms of insomnia are: 1. prolonged sleep latency: manifested by the patient’s difficulty in falling asleep and inability to fall asleep 30 minutes after going to bed; 2. difficulty in maintaining sleep: manifested by the patient’s waking up more than twice or waking up early; 3. decreased sleep quality: manifested by light sleep and excessive dreaming; 4. shortened sleep time: manifested by sleep time <6 hours. For different forms of insomnia, different treatment methods should be used. The causes of insomnia need to be sought, including sleep hygiene habits, age and whether there is a combination of psychiatric or neurological disorders.
