The pursuit of “seamlessness”

Recently, I attended an academic conference in Chengdu, during which I was invited to attend two case consultations, both of them were scar patients, one was a facial scar deformity after a car accident, and the other was an incision scar after surgery. Liu Lin, a plastic surgeon at the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University The case of facial scarring after a car accident was a young girl, now sixteen years old, who was hung by a tractor when she was five years old and suffered facial trauma, which left a scar after healing. The tractor driver also died of guilt and suicide as a result. After several treatments, still not ideal. A hospital in Zibo, Shandong Province, accepted her for free inpatient treatment and requested a consultation. The following is my consultation speech: First of all, this is a human tragedy that no one wants to see, the girl disfigured, the driver guilty of suicide, it is a sigh of relief! This is another comedy of love that is being performed, the government and society are concerned about the care, the medical family to devote their love, rescue, people are deeply touched! Suggestions: comprehensive treatment to further improve facial form and function; seamless, full restoration of pre-injury state is not possible. (Specific treatment advice is omitted.) Tips from the doctor: prevention is important for scarring, live carefully and stay away from harm. Scar treatment can only improve, not eliminate. “Seamlessness” is a dream that both doctors and patients seek, but it is hard to reach!
