Signs of early stage rectal cancer and hemorrhoids

As people’s life gets better and better, they have higher and higher requirements for diet and quality of life, and along with that, there are various “rich diseases”. Rectal cancer is one of the common “rich diseases”, and it is also one of the more common types of intestinal cancer, second only to stomach cancer. However, it seems that the public does not know much about rectal cancer. Today, I would like to introduce the early symptoms of rectal cancer, so that we can understand more about it and prevent it early. Rectal cancer signal 1 Abnormal bowel movement Abnormal bowel movement is also called rectal irritation symptoms. For example, frequent bowel movements, cramping, incomplete bowel movements, or even urgency and heaviness, some of them are accompanied by abdominal distension and lower abdominal discomfort. These symptoms are mainly caused by tumor lesions or cancerous lesions combined with infection, which irritate the rectum. Among the symptoms mentioned above, the main symptom is the increase in the number of stools, from several times to ten times a day, or even tens of times a day. The more the number of stools, the less the fecal components contained in them, and in fact, only a small amount of blood and mucus is discharged each time. At the same time, there is a continuous feeling of anal swelling and incomplete bowel movement. Blood in the stool is the most common symptom of rectal cancer patients. However, many people think that it is caused by hemorrhoids, but in fact, rectal cancer patients may also have blood in stool in early stage. However, the blood in stool is different between these two. As rectal cancer patients, the surface of the cancer is more likely to be rubbed by solid stool, so the blood is mostly not easily combined with stool, and it is mostly blood on the surface of stool; and the blood in stool is mostly dark red; the bleeding volume is less. Sometimes the blood in the stool will contain blood clots and shed necrotic tissue. In contrast, blood in the stool caused by hemorrhoids bleeds more heavily and is more bright red in color because the bleeding is closer to the anus. This is the most obvious difference between the two. However, for safety reasons, once blood in stool occurs, you should go to hospital for detailed examination. Sign of rectal cancer III Obstruction symptoms Because the rectum is obstructed by the cancer, there will be difficulty in defecation, less stool and closed stool, some even have thin stool shape, flattened or grooved, etc. About 39.5% of patients have deformed and thin stools. In addition, although rectal cancer does not show obvious pain, the surrounding tissues and organs may show severe localized pain. This is because the cancer invades the surrounding tissues and organs, and the symptoms of corresponding organ lesions appear. For example, if the cancer invades the anal canal and sphincter, in addition to severe pain, some people may experience fecal incontinence and pus and blood spilling out of the anus. For women, if it invades the posterior wall of vagina, it will increase leucorrhea and even secrete abnormal bloody discharge and feces in the vagina. Since the early symptoms of rectal cancer are similar to those of hemorrhoids, many patients will delay the best treatment time because of this. Once the above symptoms appear, you should go to the examination in time so that the disease can be controlled as soon as possible.
