Difference between Herpes Pharyngitis and Herpes Pharyngitis

Herpes simplex pharyngitis is usually caused by a herpes virus infection. Herpes pharyngitis is caused by an enterovirus infection, a contagious disease of the pharynx with an acute onset, which is most common in children. Herpes pharyngitis is a disease that affects both adults and children. Both infections, if severe, can cause varying degrees of high fever and an increase in lymphocytes when examined. In terms of treatment, depending on the situation, generally speaking, the choice is to use antiviral drugs for oral, or infusion treatment, generally recommended to choose acyclovir, or ganciclovir. If it causes high fever, with a body temperature above 38.5°C, symptomatic antipyretic drugs are needed. Herpes pharyngitis, however, is generally more contagious in the early stages. In terms of treatment, attention should also be paid to preventive isolation, while herpes pharyngitis, is relatively less contagious.
