There are many reasons for children’s itchy swollen skin bumps, including hives, eczema, dermatitis, etc. The treatment includes general treatment, medication and so on.
1. Hives: mainly caused by contact with allergens (such as mites, dust). If the symptoms are mild, it can be detached from the allergens without special treatment. For severe symptoms, oral anti-allergy drugs such as loratadine and cetirizine can be taken.
2. Eczema: For those with obvious erythema and papules, glycerite lotion can be used; for those with chronic eczema or those with severe inflammation, glucocorticoid-containing ointments are often used, such as fluoxetine ointment (used for lesions without obvious vesiculation and oozing, and infants and young children should be chosen to use a weaker or lower concentration of the preparation). Oral antihistamines such as cetirizine hydrochloride drops may be given if necessary.
In addition to the above, diaper dermatitis, which is common in young children, can also cause these symptoms. If these symptoms do not resolve, or if they are accompanied by other symptoms, it is important to go to the hospital for treatment. All of the above medications should be used under the supervision of a pharmacist or doctor, and avoid self-medication.
