Common causes of hoarseness of throat in liver cancer include inflammation, dehydration, metastatic compression of liver cancer and so on. 1. Inflammation: protein and vitamin synthesis in liver cancer patients is impaired, patients’ resistance drops, and they are easy to be infected with bacteria and viruses, resulting in pharyngitis, discomfort in throat and hoarseness. 2. Dehydration: Insufficient water intake of liver cancer patients, coupled with eating spicy and stimulating food, leads to dehydration, especially when electrolytes such as sodium and potassium are disturbed, which can be manifested as hoarseness. 3. Metastatic compression of liver cancer: if the condition of liver cancer is serious, it can be transferred to esophagus or trachea, and the metastatic tumor can compress the recurrent laryngeal nerve, resulting in hoarseness. There are other causes of hoarseness in liver cancer, so it is recommended to go to the hospital in time to improve the examination and clarify the cause of the disease, and then give targeted treatment or therapy.
