Acupuncture can be performed on the a-shi point (the point where acidity, numbness, distension and pain are obvious), lumbar pinch ridge, chichibian and yinmen points for posterior thigh tendon pain.
Lumbar Spine: located 0.5 inches beside the spinous process of the lumbar vertebrae.
Chibian: located in the sacral region, 3 inches beside the sacral midline, level with the sacral cleft.
Yinmen:Located at the back of the thigh, 6 inches straight down from the midpoint of the transverse line under the buttocks.
Commission: located at the back of the knee, at the midpoint of the transverse line of the popliteal fossa, in the middle of the tendon of the biceps femoris and the tendon of the semimembranosus muscle.
Chengshan: in the middle of the back of the calf, between Huizhong and Kunlun, at the point where the sharp angle of depression appears under the gastrocnemius muscle belly when the calf is straightened or the heel is lifted.
Kunlun: In the depression between the Achilles tendon and the midpoint of the ankle tip.
Acupuncture points need to be operated by a professional Chinese medicine practitioner, and should not be operated by oneself, in order to avoid adverse consequences.
