There is no absolute cure for nocturia. Increased nocturia may be caused by urinary tract infection, which can be treated with broad-spectrum, bacteria-sensitive antibiotics. It may also be caused by overactive bladder, prostate hyperplasia, etc. It can be treated with M receptor antagonists. Increased nocturia can also be caused by mental factors, and can be psychologically counseled. In normal adults, the number of nocturia is usually less than or equal to 1 time, and the volume of urine is 300 to 400 milliliters. Excluding physiological factors such as excessive water intake, if the number of nocturia is more than 2 times, the number of nocturia is increased. In this case, the amount of nocturia exceeds the amount of daytime urination or the amount of nocturia consistently exceeds 750 ml. 1. If nocturia is caused by urinary tract infection, it is usually treated with broad-spectrum antibiotics first, such as levofloxacin, and then with antibiotics that are sensitive to bacteria after the pathogen is cleared. 2. For nocturia caused by overactive bladder, M receptor antagonists such as tolterodine and oxybutynin can be chosen. 3. In case of psychoneurotic nocturia caused by mental factors, psychological counseling is needed to relax and keep a good mood. 4. If physiologic nocturia and nocturia are caused by drinking a lot of water, tea or watermelon before bedtime, the first thing to do is to control the amount of water consumed before bedtime. 5. If older men have more nocturia, first consider whether there is prostatitis or prostate hyperplasia, you can choose doxazosin, tamsulosin, finasteride and other drug treatment. If drug treatment is ineffective, then choose transurethral resection of the prostate. In case of increased nocturia, prompt medical attention is recommended. The application of the above medications must be under the guidance of a medical professional.
