Small hepatocellular carcinoma usually refers to the patient’s lesion with a diameter of 2~5cm, which usually belongs to early stage hepatocellular carcinoma and is preferred to be treated by surgery, with a 5-year survival rate of about 70% after surgery, and the actual survival time is related to various factors such as individual’s physical condition, disease progression, and cancer staging. If patients with small liver cancer are older, weaker, have poorer quality of life and bad dietary habits, the prognosis is relatively poor, on the contrary, the prognosis is better and the survival time is prolonged. The earlier the small liver cancer is found, diagnosed and treated, and the earlier the cancer is staged, the better the prognosis and the longer the survival time. After surgery, patients should avoid overwork, cultivate a positive and optimistic mindset, appropriately increase the intake of high-quality protein, such as lean meat, eggs, milk, etc., and try to avoid high cholesterol food. In addition, patients should take medication on time as prescribed by the doctor, and undergo regular ultrasound and alpha-fetoprotein tests.
