According to the World Health Organization release: there is sufficient data to prove that eating red meat increases the risk of cancer. Red meat (meaning mammals, such as pigs, cows, and sheep) primarily increases the risk of colorectal cancer and may also increase the risk of pancreatic or prostate cancer. Processed red meat is a carcinogenic agent of colorectal cancer, and the risk of cancer is positively correlated with the amount of red meat eaten (about 18% increased risk of colorectal cancer for every 50 grams of processed red meat eaten).
