The herbal composition of Liver-Sparing and Bile-Relieving Tang includes the medicines of Chai Hu, Hai Jin Sha, Scutellaria Baicalensis, Psyllium, Qian Cao, and Jiao Nei Jin. The formula is Chai Hu, Plantago Ovata, Fried Citrus Aurantium, Radix Paeoniae Alba, Hai Jin Sha, Radix Achyranthis Bidentatae, Fried Neem Zizi, Radix et Rhizoma Pinelliae, Radix Scutellariae Radix, and Poria Cocos Reticulata. It has the efficacy of dredging the liver and gallbladder (dredging the qi of the liver and gallbladder), regulating qi and camping, clearing heat and removing dampness, relieving pain and dispersing knots, and is mainly used for symptoms caused by the accumulation of damp-heat of the liver and gallbladder (damp-heat evil qi stagnating in the liver and gallbladder).
