Bleeding is one of the common clinical symptoms of leukemia patients, and nearly half of the leukemia patients will have symptoms of bleeding. There will be obvious differences between normal bleeding spots and leukemia bleeding spots in terms of etiology and clinical manifestations: 1. Different etiology: the cause of normal bleeding spots is damage to the blood vessel wall, reduced platelets or clotting factor disorders. The cause of leukemia bleeding point is the decrease in the number of platelets in the body of leukemia patients, coagulation dysfunction; 2, the performance is different: normal bleeding point refers to the skin or mucous membrane bleeding, the formation of red or dark red petechiae within 2mm in diameter. Leukemia bleeding spots are pinpoint-like, mostly distributed on the extremities, less on the head, face and neck, and gradually lighten in color from bright red as time passes. The number of bleeding spots increases as the disease worsens, and in severe cases they can turn into patches of petechiae. If bleeding spots appear on the patient’s body, it is recommended to go to the hospital for examination to clarify the cause and treat the disease to avoid delaying the disease and causing serious consequences.
