Can circumcision get worse after the age of 18?

While the circumcision, also known as the retrusion, does not usually become more severe past the age of 18, there are other adverse effects of having the teeth in the retrusion for an extended period of time.
Although after the age of 18, the degree of antimandibularity usually does not get worse because the development of the bones slows down. However, antimandibularity is an abnormal positional relationship that can cause uneven wear of the teeth, early contact or interference with the bite, and temporomandibular joint disorders. These symptoms are not stabilized or alleviated just because the antimandibularity is no longer exacerbated, but instead have the potential to progressively worsen with age.
