What are the causes of cerebral palsy?

The incidence of cerebral palsy has been on the rise in recent years, so what are the causes of this disease that makes everyone shy away from it? 1. Pre-birth factors: (1) Maternal factors. Maternal smoking, alcoholism, physical and chemical factors during pregnancy, pregnancy infection poisoning, pre-eclampsia, wrong medication, maternal nutritional disorders, trauma, gestational hypertension syndrome, etc. (2) Genetic factors. In recent years, the influence of genetic factors in cerebral palsy is also considered important, and some children can trace their family history of genetic diseases. 2. Perinatal factors: (1) Premature birth is one of the most important factors for cerebral palsy. (2) The risk of cerebral palsy increases with birth weight deviating from the standard weight for the same gestational age, and the chance of cerebral palsy in low-weight and large children can be tens of times higher than normal weight. (3) Fetal asphyxia, hypoxia, birth injuries, etc. are related to cerebral palsy. (3) Postnatal factors: neonatal respiratory distress syndrome, neonatal hyperbilirubinemia, neonatal nuclear jaundice, aspiration pneumonia, hydrocephalus, brain infection, and traumatic brain injury are all considered risk factors for cerebral palsy.
