Characteristics of fall from height injuries

A fall from height injury is a fall from a height to the ground, or a fall onto an object that causes an injury. Characterized by high energy, it is a more violent injury and can be very difficult for these pre-hospital diagnoses. If the patient is relatively unconscious or in a coma state, it can be very difficult for clinical diagnosis and can cause life-threatening injuries. Patients will arrive at the hospital with altered respiratory circulation, such as difficulty breathing or causing shock. There are also multi-part injuries, which are based on the different parts of the body that are injured when falling to the ground, and can cause different parts of the body to be injured. Such as cranial trauma, head and neck trauma, chest trauma or abdominal joint injury, there may also be multiple fractures or dislocations of the lower extremities, often combined with massive blood loss causing shock, causing serious injury to the patient. There are also many side injuries, such as damage to organs, such as the abdomen, liver, spleen, or damage to the pelvic urinary tract, urethra, or kidneys. Therefore, fall from height injuries are complex and high-energy, and cause great difficulties in clinical diagnosis.
