The first site of bladder cancer to metastasize

Bladder cancer first metastasizes to the pelvic lymph nodes at the occlusion and iliac vessels. There are three forms of metastasis in bladder cancer, i.e. direct infiltration, hematogenous metastasis and lymphatic metastasis. The first site of metastasis is pelvic lymph nodes, including occlusive lymph nodes, internal iliac lymph nodes, external iliac lymph nodes, etc. These lymph nodes serve as the pathway for bladder reflux, so lymphatic metastasis of bladder cancer patients is most likely to metastasize to these lymph nodes. Bladder cancer is a kind of common tumor in urinary system, and the most common symptom is hematuria. Most bladder cancer patients show painless hematuria throughout the whole process, and in the advanced stage, it shows frequent urination, urgency and painful urination. If the tumor grows in the neck of the bladder or the triangle of the bladder, which causes obstruction of the bladder outlet, it can lead to difficulty in urination and urinary retention. Surgery is the main treatment for bladder cancer. According to the degree of tumor differentiation and patient’s own condition, patients should choose the appropriate surgical methods, and can be assisted with chemotherapy or radiotherapy after surgery. If patients have corresponding symptoms, it is recommended to go to the hospital in time for treatment under the guidance of doctors.
