Manifestations of postoperative metastasis of gastric cancer

Postoperative metastasis of gastric cancer has different clinical manifestations according to different metastatic sites. The most common metastatic site for stomach cancer patients is liver, if the tumor is small, patients may have no obvious symptoms, if the tumor is large, patients will have discomfort, hidden pain or nausea and vomiting in the right side of liver area. If the cancer has metastasized to the lungs, the early stage of small tumor may be asymptomatic or only show slight cough, etc. If the mass is large, it may lead to obvious cough or even hemoptysis. If the cancer cells metastasize to the peritoneum, a large amount of ascites will be formed, which mainly manifests as abdominal distension, accompanied by nausea, discomfort and other digestive symptoms. Besides, stomach cancer will also be transferred to ovary through implantation metastasis in a special way, leading to discomfort in the adnexal area.
