It has many functions, such as clearing the head and eyes, draining the wind and activating the circulation, lowering turbidity and dispelling dampness, clearing heat and swelling, dispersing wind and relieving pain. It can also be applied as an acupuncture point to treat related diseases such as mumps, optic neuritis, retinal hemorrhage, migraine, and related intraoral diseases such as swollen and painful gums, as well as red and swollen eyes.
