The most common cause of hot and painful urination is urinary tract infection. The most common clinical manifestations of urinary tract infection include frequent urination, urgent urination, painful urination, burning urination, and even in severe cases, patients may develop hematuria in the naked eye. For the diagnosis of urinary tract infection, it mainly relies on routine urine examination. If the routine urine examination indicates an increase in the number of white blood cells and the presence of bacteria in the urine, urinary tract infection can be considered. However, there are some triggers for urinary tract infections, such as urinary stones, urinary tract malformations, urinary tumors, and even patients with diabetes mellitus are prone to urinary tract infections. In addition to routine urinalysis, ultrasound examination of the urinary tract can be performed to exclude the above-mentioned diseases. The patient should be advised to drink more water, avoid spicy and stimulating food, do not have intercourse for the time being, and take appropriate oral antibiotics, which can be therapeutic for the painful urination.
