Unilateral jaw dislocation reset needs to be performed by a medical professional.
Generally, the thumbs of both hands are wrapped in gauze and then inserted into the patient’s mouth and placed on the biting surfaces of the teeth of the lower jaw, while the remaining four fingers drag the outer edges of the jaw and then move backward to restore it.
When unilateral jaw dislocation is reset, the patient sits on a chair with the body straight and the head pressed against the wall to avoid movement, with the eyes looking straight ahead. At the same time, the occlusal surface of the jaw teeth should be below the level of the doctor’s elbow joint to make it easier for the doctor to maneuver.
The doctor will stand in front of the patient, wrap the thumbs of both hands in gauze, and then reach into the patient’s mouth and place them as far back as possible on the biting surfaces of the mandibular teeth, utilizing the remaining four fingers to drag the outer edges of the jaws and move them backward for recovery.
If the patient has a unilateral dislocation of the jaw, it is recommended to go to the regular hospital in time, early formal treatment, do not operate blindly.
