Urine test with ketone bodies

Ketone bodies in urinalysis are seen in two cases: First, positive glucose and positive ketone bodies in urinalysis are caused by poor glycemic control, which can be further monitored for fasting blood glucose, and two-hour postprandial blood glucose, glycated hemoglobin, glycated serum protein, and, if necessary, seen in the endocrinology department for blood glucose adjustment. Second, starvation ketosis, with negative urine glucose and normal blood glucose, is caused by long-term starvation, or patients who cannot eat and have insufficient energy intake in the body. It can be manifested as nausea, vomiting, dizziness, headache, weakness, poor nausea and other discomforts. It is recommended to actively strengthen nutritional support treatment and replenish blood volume, and the symptoms can be reduced when the ketone body disappears.
