How can I tell the difference between generalized itching and localized itching?

The major difference between generalized and localized nuisance is the location and extent of the area causing the itch. Generalized itch is usually an itchy sensation over the whole body or over most of the body, or starts to extend from a particular area to an itchy sensation over the whole body, whereas localized itch is an itchy sensation over a particular part of the body but does not spread to the whole body.
