Secondary prevention measures for cerebral infarction

Secondary prevention of cerebral infarction refers to the prevention and treatment measures for patients who have already had cerebral infarction to improve symptoms, reduce the death and disability rates, and prevent recurrence of cerebral infarction at the same time. The main measures for secondary prevention of cerebral infarction are as follows: 1. search for and control risk factors; 2. systematically and comprehensively take medication: give antihypertensive, hypoglycemic, lipid-lowering, anti-platelet aggregation, lipid-regulating and plaque stabilizing medication; 3. adhere to regular medication: do not arbitrarily adjust and stop medication, and clinical studies have confirmed that sudden stopping of lipid-regulating and plaque stabilizing medication can increase the chance of recurrence of cerebral infarction.
