Patients with stage 2a1 cervical cancer, i.e., stage IIA1 cervical cancer, usually do not need chemotherapy after surgery.
Cervical cancer is a malignant tumor that occurs in women’s cervix. According to TNM staging, stage IIA1 cervical cancer means that the tumor in the patient’s body has invaded 2/3 of the vagina, but there is no paracervical infiltration and the maximum diameter of the tumor is <4cm.
Patients with stage IIA1 cervical cancer can be treated by surgery or radiotherapy, and patients usually do not need chemotherapy after surgery. However, postoperative pathology can be supplemented with separate radiotherapy or simultaneous radiotherapy and chemotherapy if high risk factors exist. It needs to be considered comprehensively with the patient’s condition.
Women should pay attention to the early diagnosis and treatment of cervical cancer. Individuals should also pay attention to do a good job of regular postoperative review of cervical cancer in their daily life, timely detection of recurrence and early treatment, which can improve the survival period of patients.
