Which organs are most likely to metastasize from stomach cancer

Gastric cancer is most likely to metastasize to liver, followed by lungs, peritoneum, kidney and other organs. When gastric cancer metastasizes to other organs, there are usually four ways of spreading, including direct spread to esophagus, greater omentum, etc., lymph node metastasis to local lymph nodes, distant lymph nodes, left supraclavicular lymph nodes, hematogenous spread to liver, lungs, peritoneum, kidneys, brain, bone marrow, etc., and implantation metastasis to intestinal wall, ovary and so on. When distant metastasis of gastric cancer occurs, clinical manifestations of corresponding organ lesions may appear, such as hepatomegaly and jaundice in liver and peritoneal effusion in peritoneum. Usually, palliative treatment is often adopted for gastric cancer patients with distant metastasis. If gastric cancer with metastasis to other organs occurs, it is recommended to go to regular hospitals to avoid delaying the condition.
