Is lymphoma serious?

Lymphoma is serious. Lymphoma is a malignant tumor originating from the lymph nodes and lymphatic tissues and can occur anywhere in the body. It is usually characterized by painless enlargement of lymph nodes and can also cause damage to organs such as the lungs, gastrointestinal tract, and skin. Based on the pathologic features, they are mainly classified as Hodgkin’s lymphoma and non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. The degree of malignancy varies with the combination of pathologic type and clinical stage. Lymphoma patients can improve their prognosis and reduce the adverse effects of the disease through “early detection, early diagnosis and early treatment”. Patients with unexplained fever, weight loss, malaise that does not improve after symptomatic treatment, or painless enlarged masses should consult a doctor promptly.
